Compliments or Complements?
At this time of year compliments and complements are everywhere so let's make sure we use them properly.
Compliment is an expression of regard so when you're sending good wishes and regards as part of Christmas cheer, use "Compliments of the season".
Complement is something that goes with something else to contribute to the whole. If, for example, you're describing the sumptuous Christmas feast at your host's table you could say that it displays the "Complements of the season".
Merry Christmas, Kids and don't forget to sleep!
