How to Transform your Sales Message into an Irresistible Opportunity
What do you do when opportunity knocks? In most cases, you open the door. So, what do you think the members of your target market would do if you gave them an opportunity rather than a sales pitch?
The next time you're crafting a sales message, consider these tips for turning it into a fabulous opportunity that none of your prospects will want to miss.
• Be passionate about your product. When you're passionate about your product, you will inspire others to feel the same way.
• Paint pictures with your text. Phrases like: "What if", "Imagine" and "Picture this" will mentally transport people to the places where you want them to be.
• Identify with their struggle. Empathise with them and build rapport and then...
• Show them the solution to their struggle. (Obviously, your product or service is the solution!)
• Explain how easy it is to get that solution (eg: "Just a phone call ...” "Visit our store...” "... talk to one of our friendly consultants") This is also known as the call to action and is a vital component of all sales messages.
• Use more word pictures to show how good life will be once they act on your solution.
• Show proof. Client testimonials and case studies are powerful ways of showing how great this opportunity is.
• Create a sense of urgency. Phrases like: "Don't miss out", and "Stocks limited" all lead to an 'opportunity knocking' way of thinking.
• Finally, follow through. When your prospects turn into customers by grabbing the opportunity offered, do everything to ensure their experience backs up your claims. In other words, make them glad they opened the door when opportunity came knocking.
And then ... take a different opportunity to revel in your success!
